2024, Character Design and Model (Maya)

A cute biped character designed and modeled by me using Autodesk Maya, following the detailed instructions for organic character creation. The character I chose to create was a humanoid with exaggerated, elf features—specifically, a creature with sheep-inspired legs and arms, and large, expressive eyes that enhance its animated appeal.

I envisioned this character as adaptable for future game work, with a playful and dynamic design that would work well in various contexts.

2024, Background reference (Blender.)

For one of my projects, I modeled an indoor scene in Maya to serve as the groundwork for dynamic 2D animation settings.

Once the modeling was complete, I rendered key frames with accurate perspective lines and exported them as references. Using these as guides, I painted the 2D backgrounds in Photoshop, then imported them to Clip Paint. This method ensured that architectural elements, vanishing points, and lighting in the painted scenes seamlessly matched the intended perspective and atmosphere.

This hybrid approach bridged the gap between 3D precision and the artistic charm of 2D animation. It allowed for fluid camera movements, dynamic storytelling, and a visually immersive experience while preserving the handcrafted aesthetic of traditional animation. I'm happy with the end result.

2022, Practice of Model and UV Map (Maya)

^𖥦^ This is an interesting low-poly 3D project I modeled based on my friend’s desk table. I began with basic shapes, gradually refining each object to capture their unique details. UV mapping and texture painting (I painted all of them using Photoshop and they look great!)added realism, from the pistol's metallic sheen to the weathered cigarette packs. I carefully set up lighting, highlighting the subtle reflections on the iPhone screen and casting soft shadows across the desk. Finally, I added glowing embers to the cigarette butts for a red glow in the dark, enhancing the atmosphere.
